Abbey Orthodontics was set up in 1998 by Liz Weeks in the market town of Romsey in Hampshire. The practice is set up in a grade II listed building with original beams and fireplace. Liz’s vision was to create a practice centred on clinical excellence within a welcoming and caring environment. As our orthodontist at the practice, Liz, ensures continuity of care, along with her committed experienced team. All the staff are highly qualified in the roles they perform and are committed to providing the best treatment, encouraging and supporting patients throughout their time with us.

Our vision is to provide excellent quality orthodontics within a warm caring, friendly practice. Through good communications, honest and supportive teamwork from the very first visit, our enthusiasm and positive attitude shows how committed we are to making the patients treatment a rewarding experience. Invisalign

Invisalign

Invisalign system is made up of a series of custom-made clear aligners that are virtually unnoticeable when you are wearing them. They are changed every 2 weeks and each aligner gradually straightening the teeth little by little, moving towards the projected final position.

Before starting treatment impressions are taken which are then sent to invisalign, who along with Mrs Weeks prepare a treatment plan using ClinCheck®, Invisalign’s virtual 3D treatment plan. ClinCheck shows the series of movements your teeth are projected to go through over the course of the treatment – so you can see how your teeth are expected to look at the end of your Invisalign treatment before it even begins.

The time it takes to complete the treatment varies from person to person. It is dependent on the complexity of each straightening issue. At the initial consultation our orthodontist Liz Weeks will be able to inform you if Invisalign will be a suitable treatment option.

Having orthodontic treatment as an adult is becoming increasingly popular. Liz regularly attends postgraduate seminars and conferences to keep up to date with modern techniques and knowledge.

The ideal standard for high quality orthodontic treatment is fixed braces, which are available in silver, white and gold. Alternatively, clear plastic braces are now an option, although these are not suitable for all cases.
