About the Business
The practice is located in the heart of Cardiff's Cathedral Road, Pontcanna, well known for its Victorian houses and traditionally the home of advanced and specialist dentistry for many years. David Guy is an experienced implant dentist. He lectures in implantology and runs implant training courses for other dentists. He was the first dentist in Britain to be awarded a Fellowship of the British Society of Oral Implantology. His research interests are in tissue engineering for the regeneration of lost (atrophied) jaw bone.
Cerec crowns and inlays use a digital 3D camera to take an optical scan of your tooth instead of the traditional dental moulds. This is much more comfortable and accurate. Crowns, inlays and even some types of veneer can be produced and fitted at the same appointment, often without the need for temporary crowns. Cerec Inlays are suitable for the replacement of large fillings such as amalgams and are made of Ceramic or Ceramo-composite materials so contain no metal or mercury.
