Here at Mount Florida Dental we have a simple principle and ethos which involves putting the patient first, listening, and delivering the highest standard of Dentistry in an honest way.

Robbie and Taco both qualified from Glasgow Dental School over ten years ago, they have worked together ever since. First as associates in Crow Road Family Dental Care in Jordanhill, then at their own practices in Mount Florida and Renfrew.

To provide our patients with the best dental health, we like to see them regularly to find and fix any problems early on, before they worsen into painful, irreversible or more expensive problems.

Similarly it's great to have young children attend early on to get them used to the dental practice so that we can deliver the best possible dental care and advice for them. We are also a Childsmile Provider Practice. Prevention is better than cure.

Dental composite fillings are a popular choice for fillings because the material can match the shade, translucency and even the texture of your own natural teeth and provides a much better result than old amalgam (silver) fillings, which can be unsightly when you smile. Even if you already have silver filings most can be replaced with a white filling which improves aesthetics greatly. Oh and they are mercury free if you are worried about that sort of thing.

Composite can also be used to change the shape of otherwise healthy teeth. Unlike veneers, which often require some removal of tooth, in composite bonding cases, no healthy tooth substance removal is required as the white filling material is added to the excising tooth.
