We focus on Preventive and Minimal Intervention Dentistry (basically preserving tooth tissue). It has made a huge difference with the patients requiring fewer fillings in return for just a little homework. However, if treatment is necessary, we offer a complete range of NHS and private services - from hygiene to bridges, implants and beyond. This is a Childsmile practice which means we provide help and advice to young children and their parents. What is the difference between NHS and Private treatment at The Cupar Dentist? NHS treatment is basic and cheap, and there is nothing wrong with it. It is subsidised by the government, and the level of subsidy is income dependent. There are set rules which the dentist has to follow regarding choice of materials, for example fillings on the back teeth have to be silver amalgam.
